About the WI Lavender Greens

Mission Statement:

Who We Are: A statewide caucus within the Wisconsin Green Party of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) people, their families, allies and communities.

What We Do: Work for progressive political candidates and issues; fight discrimination against individuals and groups; provide a forum for creating and advancing political and social solutions that benefit LGBT persons and allies.

Why We Do It: To achieve equality, visibility, and empowerment for LGBT women, men and families, so that LGBT citizens may enjoy full participation in society with its corresponding equal rights andresponsibilities, and because we envision and seek a peace-loving society free from agism, classism, racism, and homophobia, in which all can thrive and each one's potential is realized.
